Flat Conversion

This project was to create modern luxury self-contained flats converted from a disused care home. Four large flats were created on two storeys and the loft was converted into the fifth flat, all with a contemporary finish. The loft flat was contained under the slopes of the existing roof, then finished with a clean white interior, and lighting used to accentuate the angles, creating an unusual and interesting modern spaces.

New Build Flats

The project was to create modern but economical new build, residential flats consisting of eight units built in close proximity to a railway line. Due to the railway causing substantial noise pollution, the technical design involved a number of specialism and skillsets. This included installing foundations with anti-vibration pads which isolate the building from ground vibration, and high end sound insulation on the walls, doors and windows. These installations were key to ensuring a pleasant living experience within the building.

New Build Flats

The project was to create economical new build residential flats consisting of seven units. We took the original planning approval for a three storey building with five flats and re-applied to the council Planning Department to increase the storeys of the building from three to four and achieve two more flats. This allowed the project to be far more economically feasible and secured the go ahead. The construction of the building utilised a particular specialised and robust set of materials which provided great acoustic separation between floors noticeably surpassing the required building regulation for sound.

Contemporary Extension to House

The project was to create open plan living by means of a large contemporary extension and alterations to an existing 1930's house. The open plan space is still to have defined areas of use but allow the space to flow into each other and to flow to outside, taking advantage of a great rear garden and to allow as much light in as possible. With Cedar wood cladding to the main extension and a glazed infill section.
